let each side of square be equal to a

therefore perimeter of circle=4a

now it is shaped in the form of a circle

therefore the length of the wire will remain same and

perimeter of square=circumference of circle

4a=2πr

2a=πr             (eq-1)

we know that area of a circle is (πr)^2

(πr)^2=4a^2             (from eq-1)

therefore area of circle is 4a^2   or 4 times area of square(since area of square is a*a=a^2)
