To find:

Find the radius of the circle.

Solution:

As the rectangular wire is reshaped into the form of a circle, so the perimeter of the rectangle will be equal to the circumference of the circle.

Therefore, the circumference of the circle =2(20+17.4)=74.8cm

Now, the circumference of the circle =2\pi r=74.8

or, r=\frac{74.8}{2\pi} =11.904cm

Therefore, the radius of the circle is 11.904cm.
