Hello Friend!!! : )
Here Is The Answer:
perimeter of square = 4 side
= 4 x 10
= 40 cm
perimeter o rectangle = 2 [ l + b ]
40 = 2 [ 12 + b ]
40 = 24 + 2 b
40 - 24 = 2 b
16 = 2 b
b = 16 / 2
b = 8 cm
So, The breadth is 8 cm
Hope It Helps You!!!
Have A Good Day! ^_^

hiii!!!
here's ur answer...
perimeter of square=perimeter of rectangle
given the side of the square is 10cm.
perimeter of the square = side×4
= 10×4
= 40cm
therefore perimeter of the rectangle is 40cm.
length of the rectangle is 12cm.
=> 2(l+b) = 40cm
=> 2(12+b) = 40cm
=> 24+2b = 40cm
=> 2b = 40-24
=> 2b = 16
=> b = 16/2
=> b = 8cm
verification:-
perimeter of the rectangle = 2(l+b)
= 2(12+8)
= 2×20
= 40cm
hence verified
thus the breadth of the rectangle is 8cm.
now,
area of the square = side²
= 10×10
= 100cm²
area of the rectangle = l×b
= 12×8
= 96cm²
area of square is greater by = 100-96
= 4cm²
hope this helps u..!
