Question:

→ A wire is in the shape of a square with each side as 16.5 cm is bent in the shape of a circle. Find the circumference and diameter of the circle.

Answer:

→ 66 cm and 21 cm respectively .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

→ The wire which was in shape of a square with each side 16.5cm was bent in the shape of a circle.

To find :-

→ The circumference and diameter of the circle.

Solution:-

∴ Perimeter of the square = Circumference of the circle.

∵ Perimeter of the square = 4 × side .

= 4 × 16.5 .

= 66cm .

∴ Therefore the circumference of the circle is also 66cm.

⇒ 2πr = 66cm .

⇒ 2 × 22/7 × r = 66cm .

⇒ 44/7 × r = 66cm .

⇒ r = 66/1 × 7/44 .

⇒ r = 1.5 × 7 .

∴ r = 10.5 cm .

→ We know that the diameter of a circle is double the length of it's radius.

Thus, it's diameter = 10.5 × 2 .

= 21 cm .

Hence, it is solved .
