length of a rectangle is 10cm
breadth is 8 cm
then this same wire is bent in a form of a square,so perimeter of square=perimeter of a rectangle
4a=2(l+b)
4a=2(10+8)
4a=36
a=9cm
Measure of each side is 9 cm.

Answer:

9 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the rectangle and square are made of the same wire, their perimeters will be equal.

Given:

Length of rectangle = 10 cm

Breadth of rectangle = 8 cm

Thus, perimeter of rectangle:

2 ( l + b )

= 2 ( 10 + 8 )

= 2 ( 18 )

= 36 cm

Hence, perimeter of square is also 36 cm.

Let the side of the square be x.

Thus,

4 × x = Perimeter of the square

4 × x = 36

x = 9 cm

Hence, ANS = 9 cm
