A wire is 135 cm long and was cut into two pieces. 56 of the length of the first piece was equal to 23 of the length of the second piece. What was the length of the longer piece?

ANSWER

total length of wire = 135 cm

first piece length = 56 cm

length of second wire = 23 cm

length of large wire = 135 - 56 + 23

= 135 - 79

= 56 answer
