Given ;

  • r = 56cm

Thus circumference of the circle = C = 2πr

  • C = 2πr
  • C = 2 × 22/7 × 56
  • C = 2 × 22 × 8
  • C = 44 × 8
  • C = 352 cm

Since te same wire which was bent into a circle is bent into a square of side s cm.

Therefore;

  • Circumference of the circle = Perimeter of the square
  • 352 = 4s
  • s = 88cm

Thus area enclosed by the square is given by ; A = s². (not of the square)

  • A = (88)²
  • A = 7744 cm²
