Answer:

since it's an equilateral triangle, it's perimeter is 6*3 which is 18cm,

pentagon is a 5 sided figure so the side of the pentagon is 18/3 = 3.6cm

Answer:

3.6 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Length of side of equilateral triangle = 6 cm

So, Perimeter of triangle = 6 + 6 + 6 = 18 cm.

We know,

Wire's length = Perimeter of triangle = 18 cm.

The same wire is bent into a regular pentagon.

So,

Perimeter of pentagon = Wire's length

That is,

Perimeter of pentagon = 18 cm. - - - (1)

A pentagon has 5 sides. Since the question talks about a regular pentagon, all 5 sides are equal.

If we consider the side of the pentagon to be 'x' cm,

Then,

Perimeter of pentagon = 5x cm.

From (1),

5x = 18 cm.

So,

x = 18/5 = 3.6 cm.

So,

Measure of the Pentagon's side = 3.6 cm
