Answer:

From the question it is given that, side of square is 22 cm. And also, perimeter of a square and circumference of circle are equal, because the length of the wire is same. Therefore, radius of circle is 14 cm.

FINAL ANSWER:-

radius is 14 cm

GIVEN:-

  • A wire is bent to form a square of side 22 cm ⇒ s=22cm
  • Than it rebent into the shape of circle

TO FIND:-

Rebent wire’s radius (r)

FORMULA SUED:-

Perimeter \:of \: square=4*side\\Circumference \:of \:circle=2\pi r

SOLUTION:-

As it is given that a wire is bent into square and then in the form of circle

∴ it’s saying about perimeter/circumference

So,

Perimeter \:of \: square= Circumference \:of \:circle\\4*side=2\pi r\\4*22=2*\frac{22}{7}*r\\88=\frac{44r}{7}

r=\frac{88*7}{44} [∵ by cross multiplication]

r=\frac{616}{7}r=14

hence radius of circle = 14 cm
