$(3 \frac{3}{4} - 1 \frac{1}{2} )m \\ =( \frac{15}{4} - \frac{3}{2} ) \\ = \frac{15 - 6}{4} \\ = \frac{9}{4} \\ = 2 \frac{1}{4} meter$
