When wire is cutted into three equal parts and then connected in parallel with the same source
Then let the resistance of each wire is R
1) They are connected in parallel this effective resistance will be
1/R(eflective) = 1/R+1/R+1/R
= 3/R
So R(effective) = R/3
2) The total current will be 3( I ) if the initial current is I
The current through each part will be
I ampere
Then let the resistance of each wire is R
1) They are connected in parallel this effective resistance will be
1/R(eflective) = 1/R+1/R+1/R
= 3/R
So R(effective) = R/3
2) The total current will be 3( I ) if the initial current is I
The current through each part will be
I ampere
