A wire is in circular shape of radius 42 CM. Of it is bent in the form of a square find the area of the square so formed.

the length of the wire = the perimeter of the circle = 2πx42 = (44x6)cm.
the perimeter of the square = the length of the wire = 44x6 cm.
Hence the length of the sides of the square = 44x6\4 = 66cm.

length of wire=circumference of circle

circumference of circle=2pie r

=2×22/7×42=264

length of wire=perimeter of square

264=4a

a=264/4=66

a=66
