A wire is in shape of rectangle .It's length is 40cm and breadth 22cm. If the same wire is given the shape of a square, what will be the measure of each side? Also find which shape - rectangle or square - encloses more area.​

☞ Square enclose more area then rectangle.

Step-by-step explanation :-

☞ Length of wire in shape of rectangle = 40 cm

Breadth of wire shape of rectangle =22 cm

let side of square made by wire be a

then ,

perimeter of rectangle = perimeter of square.

2(40+22) = 4a

=) 124 = 4a

=) a= 31cm

Now,

Area of rectangle = 40×22 = 880cm

And,

Area of square = 31×31 = 961cm

Therefore,

Square enclose more area then rectangle
