Evaluating the Diagonal of the Square

Answer: length of diagonal of square is  77√2  meters that is 108.9 meters.

Explanation:

Given that a wire is in a form of a circle of radius 42 meters .

so lenght of the wire = circumference of the circle of radius 42 meters

lets first calculate circumference of the circle

circumference of the circle = 2πr

=> circumference of the circle =  2 x (22/7) x 42 = 308 meters

so length of the wire = circumference = 308 meters

Now a square is formed using wire of 308 meters

Length of the wire = perimeter of the square

lets say side of the square = a meters

=> perimeter of square = 4x side of square = 4a

As Length of wire =  perimeter of the square

=> 4a = 308meters

=> a = 308/4 = 77 meters

diaonal of square = √2 x side = √2 a = √2 x 77 = 108.8944 meters ≈ 108.9 meters

Hence length of diagonal of square is  77√2  meters that is 108.9 meters.
