A wire is in the form of a semi-circle of radius 28cm.It is straightened and bent into the form of a square. What is the length of the side of the square

Radius=28 cm

Then, circumference=

2\pi r

=2*(22/7)*28

=2*22*4

=176

As it is said that it is a semicircle...

Therefore,

Half of the total circumference=circumference of the semicircle

=(1/2)*176

=88

If the wire is bent into a square then, the side is-

=(88/4) {bcoz all sides of square are equal}

=22 cm

Ans.= The side of the square is 22 cm
