a wire is in the form of a square . it is cut and reshaped as a rectangle of length 16cm. if area of the square is 196cm2,find the length of wire and also the perimeter and area of the rectangle​

area of a squsre=side^2

side^2= 196 cm^2

side= 14 cm

perimeter of square= perimeter of rectangle as they are made up of same length of wire .

4x side = 2( l+b)

4x14 = 2(16+b)

b =56/2 -16= 28-16 = 12cm= breadth

length of wire =4×side=4×14= 56cm

peri. of rectangle=56 cm

area of rectangle= lx b= 16 x 12= 192 cm^2
