A wire is in the from of a square of side 20cm is cut and reconstructed in the from of rectangle of length 30cm. find the breadth of the rectangle so formed.

Answer:

Perimeter of square = Perimeter of rectangle

P of square =20x4=100cm

P of rectangle =2(l+b)

100=2(30+b)

100/2=30+b

50-30=b

20=b

Therefore b=20cm
