A wire is in the shape of a rectangle. Its length is 32cm and breadth is 18 cm. If the same wire is rebent in the shape of a square,what will be the measure of each side? Also, find which shape encloses more area​

perimeter = 2(32+18)

perimeter = 2(50)

perimeter = 100cm

Square

length of wire = perimeter

length of wire = perimeter length of wire = 100cm

perimeter of rectangle = perimeter of square (same wire is used)

perimeter of square = 100

4×side = 100

side = 100÷4

side = 25cm

Side of Square = 25cm

Area

Rectangle = lb = (32)(18) = 576cm²

Square = side² = 25² = 625cm²
