A wire is in the shape of a square of perimeter 64cm. A rectangle is formed with this wire such its length is 20cm. Find the area of rectangle. GIVE EXPLANATION.

Perimeter of square = 4*side
So side of square =
64= 4*side
Side = 64/4=16cm
Perimeter means total length
So it will be same in case of rectangle
64= 2(l+b)
=2(20+b)
=40+2b
64-40=2b
24 =2b
b= 12
Area of rectangle=
l*b
=20*12
=240cm²

The perimeter of square = Perimeter of rectangle
64 = 2(l+b)
64 = 2(20+b)
b = 12 cm

Area of rectangle = l×b
= 20 × 12
=240 cm^2
