square or the rectangle?....

square covers more area by 4 cm sq

side of square=10cm

perimeter of square=4Xside

                                  4 X 10=40

p of square = p of rectangle

length of rectangle= 12cm

breadth= b

perimeter of rect=2(l+b)

40=2(12+b)

40=(12+b)

20-12=b

b=8cm & l=12cm

area  of square=s X s

                        10 X 10 =100cm sq

area of rectangle= l X b

                           12 X 8= 96cm sq
