Answer:

given

square's side =10cm

so its perimeter = s X 4

                           =10 X 4

                           =40cm

                        ∴length of wire is 40 cm

in reactangle

lenght = 12cm

breath = ?

perimeter = 40cm

40cm = 2(l + b)

40 = 2(12 + b)

40÷2 =12 + b

20 - 12 = b

∴B = 8cm

!!!

given :-

length of the side of the square = 10cm

∴ perimeter of the square = 4 * side

= 40cm

ATQ, the same wire in the shape of square of side 10cm is bent into a rectangle of length 12cm.

therefore perimeter o f the square = perimeter of the rectangle

∴ perimeter of the rectangle is also = 40cm

we know the formula for the perimeter of a rectangle that is 2( l + b)

=> 2(l + b) = 40cm

=> 2(12 + b) = 40cm

=> 12 + b = 40/2

=> 12 + b = 20cm

=> b = 20 - 12

=> b = 8cm

hence the breadth of the rectangle is 8cm.
