Side of the square =10 cm
So, perimeter of the square =4×10=40cm
Now, the length of the rectangle, enclosed by that wire =15cm
Let its breadth =x
According to theory,
2(15+x)=40
Or, 15+x=20
Or, x=5
So the breadth of the rectangle =5cm

Now, the area of the square =10²cm²=100cm²
The area of the rectangle =(15×5)cm²=75cm²

So, the area if the square is more than the rectangle.

side of square = 10 cm
Length of wire = Perimeter of Square = 4*10= 40 cm
Now since the wire is rebent into rectangle
Perimeter of rectangle = length of wire
2(l+b) = 40
2(15 + b)= 40 cm
15 + b = 40/2
15 + b = 20
b= 20-15= 5 cm
therefore breadth = 5 cm
Therefore
Area of square = side * side = 10 * 10 = 100 cm square
Area of Rectangle= Length * Breadth = 15*5 = 75 cm square
Therefore
Square encloses more area.
