Given Data :

  • Square shape wire side is 15 cm
  • Rebent wire of rectangle length 16 cm

To Find :

  • Find its Breadth

Solution :

Side of the square is = 15 cm

As we know that,

 \purple{\mid{\fbox{\sf{Perimeter\:(square)=\:4×Side}}\mid}}

      \large \sf\dashrightarrow{4×15}

      \large\sf\dashrightarrow{60\:cm}

Length of the rectangle = 16 cm

Let breadth of rectangle = b cm

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( + b)

         = 2 (16 + b) cm

   \underline{\bigstar\boldsymbol\green{\; According\:to\:question,}}

Perimeter of square = Perimeter of rectangle

    \sf:\implies{60=2(16+b)}

    \sf:\implies{ \frac{60}{2}  = 16 + b}

    \sf:\implies{16+b=30}

    \sf:\implies{b=30-16}

    \rm:\implies{b=14\:cm}

Breadth of rectangle = 14 cm

Area of the square = (side)²

    \sf:\implies{15×15}

    \sf:\implies{ 225 \:cm²}

Area of the rectangle = Length × Breadth

    \sf:\implies{ 16 × 14}

    \large{\underline{\boxed{\mathfrak\pink{224\:cm²}}}}

\large\underline\mathrm \blue{∴\:Hence,\:Square\:encloses\:more\:area.}
