A wire is in the shape of an equilateral triangle. Each of the sides of the triangle measures 7 cm. The wire is bent into the shape of a circle. Find the area of the circle that is formed.

Answer:

Perimeter of triangle = 7+7+7 =21cm

Perimeter of circle = 21

2πr = 21

2 (22/7) r = 21

r = 147/44 cm

Area of the circle = π = 22/7 (147/44) 147/44

= 3087/ 88

= 35 . 0795

= 35.08 cm² (approx.)
