perimeter of rectangle=perimeter of square

given length of rectangle=40cm and breadth of the rectangle=22cm

perimeter of the rectangle=2(l+b)

=2(40+22)

=2×62

=124cm

therefore perimeter of the square=124cm

side×4=124cm

side=124/4

side=31cm

hence, the length of the side of square is 31cm

area of the square=side×side

=31×31

=961cm²

area of the rectangle=l×b

=40×22

=880cm²

area of square is more by=961-880

=81cm²
