wires length = 12.5 meters
cut into 10 pieces.
so each piece would be of 12.5/10 i.e 1.25 meters.
as the pieces are equal so all pieces are of 1.25 meters.

Given:

Wire's length=12 1/2m

To find:

Each piece's length

Solution:

The required length is 1.25 m.

We can obtain the required length by dividing the wire's given length by the number of pieces.

So, the wire's length=12 1/2m

=25/2 m

=12.5 m

Now, this wire is cut into 10 parts.

Each piece's length=wire's total length/number of pieces

Using the values, we get

=12.5/10

=125/100

=1.25 m

Therefore, the required length is 1.25 m.
