Define x :

Let the width be x

The length = x + 6

Form equation and solve for x:

Perimeter = 2 (Length + Breadth)

96 = 2 (x  + x + 8)

96 = 2(2x + 8)

48 = 2x + 8

2x = 40

x = 20

Find the dimension:

Breadth = x = 20 cm

Length = x + 8 = 20 + 8 = 28 cm

Answer: The dimension of the rectangle is 28 cm by 20 cm

here is your answer OK

Total length of Wire= Perimeter Of Rectangle
Let Its Breadth = 'x'
So Its Length = 'x+7'
Perimeter Of Rectangle= Total length of Wire [Perimeter = 2(l +b)]
2(x + x +7) = 86
2x + 7 = 86/2
2x + 7 = 43
2x = 43 -7
2x = 36
x = 18 cm

Therfore Breadth = 18cm
Length = x + 7
             = 18 + 7
             = 25 cm
