A wire of length 157cm is bent to form a circle.Find the perimeter, radius and diameter of the circle so formed.


MANKOTIA: radius=25cm, diameter=50cm
MANKOTIA: perimeter=157cm

here's ur answer frnd...

a wire of length 157cm is bent into a circle. it means the circumference of the circle formed is 157cm.

circumference of the circle=157cm

2πr=157cm

2×22/7×r=157cm

44/7×r=157cm

r=157/1×7/44

r=1099/44cm

we know that the diameter of the circle is double of radius, therefore the diameter of the circle=1099×2/44

=2198/44cm

it can't be solved further.

length of wire =157cm = perimeter of circle.
[ circle is made of wire]
perimeter of cicle =157cm.
2πr=157
r=157/2π
r=157/(2×3.14)
r=157×100)/2×314
r=100/4=25cm.
Radius = 25cm
Diameter =2r =2×25=50cm.
