A wire of length 1m 14cm is cut into two pieces one piece is used to form a square whose side is 13.5cm long. The other piece is bent not a regular hexagon. What is the length of each side of the hexagon​

Answer:

perimeter of square=4*13.5 cm

=54 cm

length of wire=100+14=114 cm

remaining length of wire =114-54=60 cm

since all 6sides of regular hexagon are equal

therefore 6a=60 cm

a=side of regular hexagon equals to 10 cm

4 × 13.5

= 54cm

total length of hexagon = 1 m 14 cm - 54 cm

= 114 cm - 54 cm

= 60 cm

as hexagon has 6 sides.
