Answer:

No. of small balls can be made is 1320

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Length of wire = 22 cm

            Diameter of wire = 0.2 cm

To Find : No. of balls made by melting

Solution :

Since wire is in the form of cylinder .

Volume of cylinder = \pi r^{2} h

Diameter of wire = 0.2 cm

Radius of wire = Diameter / 2 = 0.2/2=0.1 cm

Volume of wire =   \pi (0.1)^{2} *(22)

Use π =3.14

(3.14)* (0.1)^{2} *(22)

0.6908cm^{3}

Small ball is of sphere shape

Diameter of small ball = 0.1 cm

Radius = diameter/2= 0.1/2=0.05

Volume of sphere = \frac{4}{3}\pi r^{3}

Volume of small ball =  \frac{4}{3}*(3.14)*(0.05)^{3}

                                  =0.000523

No. of balls made when wire is melted = Volume of wire/Volume of small ball

\frac{0.6908}{0.000523}

1320.8

Thus No. of small balls can be made is 1320
