let each part be 3x and 2x then,

3x + 2x = 50 units

5x = 50 units

x = 50/5 units = 10 units

smaller piece = 2x = 2 × 10 units = 20 units

smaller piece is bent in the shape of a wire, so,

perimeter of the square = 20 units

side of square = 20/4 units = 5 units

area of the square = 5 × 5 square units

= 25 square units
