a wire of length 7/8m is broken into two pieces. if the length of 1 piece is 1/4m what is the length of other piece​

Answer:

Hey there.

All you need to do is subtract the the length of the broken wire from the original length of the wire

Length of the other broken wire=original length of wire -lenth of broken wire known

Length of broken wire=(7/8)m - (1/4)m=(5/8)m=0.625m

length of wire = 7/8 m

length of 1 peice = 1/4 m

so ,

the length of other peice=7/8 -1/4

= 5/8m
