let the breadth of rectangle which will form be x and then the length will be x+7

as given that the length of the full wire was 86, it simply means that the perimeter of rectangle is 86cm

then,

perimeter = 2(l+b)

86 = 2(x+x+7)

86/2 =2x+7

43 = 2x+7

43-7 = 2x

36 = 2x

36/2 = x

18= x

then the breadth of rectangle formed is 18cm and length is (18+7) = 25

verification,

perimeter = 2(l+b)

86 = 2(18+25)

86 = 2* 43

86= 43

hence proved that the length is 25cm and breadth is 18cm

i hope this will help you
