a wire of length L and area of cross section A was drawn into a wire of double its length by melting in if its original resistance where RAW and R respectively what will be its new resistance and resistivity​

Resistivity remains the same because it depends on the material which, here, is not changing.

The new resistance will become 4 times the original resistance.

We can find this by calculating because doubling the length leads to the area becoming half the original area.

As R= resistivity* l/a

Rnew/Rold= 4:1
