A wire of resistance 10 ohm is bent to form a closed circle. What is the resistance across a diameter of the circle???

2.5ohm

when the wire is made into a circle and when 2 points int he ends of the diameter are considered then the resistor willget split up into 2

resitors each of 5 ohms and these 2 resistors will be in \\ connection

i.e..

   Re=(1/5+1/5)^(-1)      which we will get in substiting the \\ resistence formula 

when we equate it we'll get 2.5 ohm
