A wire of resistance 100 ohm is stretched so that it's length become 4 times its initial length.Then find out the new resistance.............​

As length is directly proportional to the resistance, the resistance would also increase 4 times or in the same proportion i.e.400 ohm

R = pl/A, where R is resistance, p is the material's resistance in ohms, l is the length, and A is the cross sectional area in m^2. As a wire gets longer its resistance increases, and as it gets thinner its resistance also increases because its cross sectional area decreases.
