A wire of resistance 5 ohm is bent in the form of closed circle what is the effective resistance between tge two points at the end ofany diameter of the circle and find the amount of current pass through the element of potential difference of 50volt is applied across the diameter

The resistance will be half of total resistance in each part as it is divided in two equal parts when diameterically a wire is connected and the both resistance are in parallel.

So ,

1/(1*5/2) + 1 / (1*5/2) = 1/R

20/25 = 1/R

therefore, R = 25/20 = 2.5/2 = 1.25 ohms
