Heya!!

If a wire of 8 ohm is bent to form a circle then each semicircular arc gets a resistance of 4 ohm.. Attachment 1.

Hence both r in parallel (current distribution) ..

Hence 1/R btw A nd B = 1/4 + 1/4

=) 1/R = 2/4

=) R = 4/2 ohms

=) R = 2 ohms

Explanation:

as it is in parallel connection

so 1/R between A and B is

1/4+1/4

=2/4

so1/R= 2/4=1/2

R is 2 ohm and diameter is 2× 2 ohm= 4ohm
