Heya!!
If a wire of 8 ohm is bent to form a circle then each semicircular arc gets a resistance of 4 ohm.. Attachment 1.
Hence both r in parallel (current distribution) ..
Hence 1/R btw A nd B = 1/4 + 1/4
=) 1/R = 2/4
=) R = 4/2 ohms
=) R = 2 ohms

so 1/R between A and B is
