Total resistance = 10Ω

Wire is bent into a circle,

The resistance wire will be divided in two halves and will be in parallel, so resistance of one semicircle is 5Ω.

R1 = 5Ω

R2 = 5Ω

Effective resistance = (R1R2)/R1+R2

Effective resistance = (5×5)/5+5

Effective resistance = 25/10

Effective resistance = 2.5Ω
