Answer: If R is the resistance before cutting the wire

then, after cutting it into 5 equal parts ,

Therefore each resistance becomes R/5 ohm

Now A/Q ,

                  when you keep the 5 resistances in Parallel we get

               R1 as the equivalent resistance.

We know ,

1/R1=  5/R+5/R+5/R+5/R+5/R

      =25/R

So, R1 = R/25

Therefore Ratio of R by R1 = 25/1 Ans..

Answer:20

Explanation:when r is cut into 5 equal parts then it becomes r/5,r/5,r/5,r/6,r/5

Now resistances in parallel becomes

1/Re= 5/r+5/r+5/r+5/r+5/r(value of r in parallel beomes reciprocal)

Re=25
