The resistance 'R' in ohm is given as
R = ρ L/A
where ρ is the resistivity, L is the length and A is the cross sectional area.
If we increase the length by 1 % of its original value, assuming the area remains constant, then the resistance will also becomes 1% = 1/100 = 0.01 times of its original value as resistance is directly proportional to the length.
So, answer will be 1% of R or (0.01) R
