A wire of resistivity p is stretched to double it's length which is it's new resistivity. give reason for your answer.

Here is the answer

As R = p L/A

And resistivity is the property of material it doesn't depend upon length and area .

As we stretch the wire it's resistance which depends upon all of these will change and hence the resistivity will remain constant.
