Welcome to the World of Current And Electricity

Resistivity is independent of length. .

if u double or triple the length , the resistivity will not change ....

Answer:

Resistance of the wire will be doubled if its length is doubled as RESISTANCE is directly proportional to LENGTH.

Old Resistance = r

New resistance = 2r

However, Resistivity of a material(wire material) always remains the same and does not change ,no matter what the case.

Thus, Old Resistivity = r

          New Resistivity = r

ps there is a separate symbol for resistivity and it isn't there in my keyboard.
