$88 = 2 \times 22 \div 7 \times r$
$r = 88 \div 44 \times 7$
$r = 14$
$area = \pi \times r \times r$
$\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 22 \div 7 \times 14 \times 14$
$area = 616$
