Given:

r₁ = 20cm = 0.2m

r₂ = 25cm = 0.25m

N = 800

I = 12A

To find:

What are the maximum or minimum values of magnetic field within the toroid?

Solution:

B = μNI / 2πa

Bmax → r_min = 0.2m

Bmax = (4π × 10⁻⁷ × 800 × 12) / (2π × 0.2)

Bmax = 9.6 × 10⁻³ T

Bmin = r_max = 0.25m

Bmin = (4π × 10⁻⁷ × 800 × 12) / (2π × 0.25)

Bmin = 7.68 × 10⁻³ T

So, the maximum values of magnetic field within the toroid is 9.6 × 10⁻³ T and minimum values of magnetic field within the toroid is 7.68 × 10⁻³ T.
