we know,
1dozen=12 pieces
50dozen =15*12= 600 pieces
cost of 12 pieces of oranges=Rs 16
cost of 1 piece of orange=16/12
C. P. of women of 600pieces of oranges=16/12*600
=RS800.
broken eggs=20 .
remaining eggs 600-20=580
sold all eggs in Rs 1.50
then, women's S.P.=580*1.50
=870
C. P. (800)<S. P. (870)then,
profit=870-800=70
women's profit=70
Profit%=70/800*100
= 8.75% ANS

1 dozen = 12

So , 50 dozen = 50× 12= 600

She bought 600 eggs

cost of 1 dozen = 16

cost of 50 dozen = 16× 50= 800

CP of 600 eggs = 800

CP of 1 egg = 800/600= 4/3=1.3

Now she saw that 20 eggs were broken

left out eggs = 600-20=580

SP of 580 eggs = 580× 1.5=870

SP of 1 egg = 870/580= 1.5

since SP of 1 egg is greater than CP of 1 egg

there is a profit

profit = SP-CP = 1.5 - 1.3=0.2

profit on 1 egg = 0.2

profit on 580 eggs = 116

profit % = profit × 100/ CP

profit % = 116 × 100/ CP = 14.5%

Hope it helps...
