▪It is given that , a woman loves in a hilly region and consumes rock salt in her daily diet.
▪But, One thing which is to be noted is that Rock salt is significantly low in iodine, so it may not replace your iodized salt
▪It means that she has increased chances of being a goitre patient because Less consumption of Iodine will not provide her the best balance of growth due to lack of thyroxine hormone secreted by thyroid gland.
▪Her doctor has adviced her to take iodized salt because Iodized common salts contains proper amount of Iodine. To avoid deficiency of Iodine, the doctor had recommended her to use iodised common salt instead of rock salt.
