A wooden block float in water with 1/3 of its volume submerged.(a) calculate the density of wood. (b) when the same block is placed on oil one quarter of its volume is immersed in oil. calculate density of oil.

D / 1. = 2V/3/1V

D / 1 = 2/3

D = 2/3

= 0.67g/ cm^3

again,3V/4/1V = 0.67/D

3/4=0.67/D

D= 0.87g/cm^3
