a wooden block is in kerosene will it float or sink.if yes why

it depends on the type of wood because different wood has different density if the density of wood is less than kerosene it floats if it is more than the kerosene then it sinks

a piece of wood with density of 0.9 g/cm³ will float on water (0.9 < 1) but will sink in kerosene (0.9 > 0.8).

THIS HAPPENS BECAUSE THE DENSITY OF WOOD IS MORE THAN KEROSENE AND HENCE IT WILL SINK.
