a wooden block is sliding on a frictionless floor with the velocity 50 metre per second you want to stop this within 10 metre.when it comes to stop after applying the force .

i)   Loss of its PE                      =mg(AC) (Since loss in PE do not depend on path)                       ii)   Gain in kinetic energy                       iii)   average resistive force work done by resistive force=loss in P.E-gain in K.E                                               =550J
